Fostering Leadership Skills
Our Brothers are naturally called to lead; more than half of Brothers serve as Chapter Officers, and nearly as many serve as leaders in one or more organizations on campus.
To set them up for success in any leadership role, the Fraternity developed the Stead Leadership College, a first of its kind fraternal program training and certifying professional skills for current and future Chapter Officers, available at no cost to Members.

High Zeta Summit
High Zeta Summit is our premier leadership event. Aimed at the Chapter President (High Alpha) and the Ritualist (High Phi), it offers an unrivalled opportunity to build competence and forge connections. Held in Indianapolis in early January, the event encourages attendees to develop and foster the skills and support systems needed to improve their leadership and the functioning of their Chapter.
By the end of the conference, participants were able to forge connections across the High Zeta; write, execute, and support a plan that drives Chapter operations; and understand how to utilize Ideal Man to onboard Associate Members and Stead Leadership College to train core High Zeta Officers.
Chapter Challenge
Chapter Challenge is an innovative simulation that immerses participants in the highs and lows of running a Chapter.
In teams of six, participants responded to a series of challenges and escalating events, while at the same time balancing success factors such as GPA, income, and reputation. Supported by a moderator, they then had to reflect on their decision making and adjust their plans.
Utilizing the power of experiential learning, the Chapter Challenge deliberately uses practice and reflection to increase retention and embed new skills.
Stead Leadership College
Stead Leadership College is the fraternal world’s first competency-based skill certification, offering self-paced learning that correlates the Chapter Officer experience with managing a small business.
Hosted on Lambda Chi Academy, the Fraternity’s learning platform, each Stead Leadership College certification course spans seven weeks. Upon completion, Brothers receive a digital credential—tangible, shareable proof of their leadership and professional skills.
Aimed at serving current and future Chapter Officers, the College prepares Brothers to be a member of the chapter’s management team (High Zeta), builds capability within Chapters, and acts as a bridge between campus and career. It comprises two learning journeys: Leadership Ready and Role Ready.
Stead Leadership Seminar
Stead Leadership Seminar equips High Kappas with the knowledge, skills, and resources to lead meaningful new Member education within their Chapters. Through hands-on training, participants learn how to create engaging experiences that foster belonging, build character, and prepare new Members for lifelong Brotherhood. They leave with practical tools, a Chapter education plan, and a network of support to help future Brothers thrive.
