Donate by Bank Transfer
Donate online securely using your bank account by using our online donation form. Bank transfers can take 5-7 days to process.
If a supporter receives a bank transfer donation through their Founders’ Day Challenge fundraising page, the donation will appear on their page after the donation finishes processing.
Our fundraising platform, GoFundMe Pro fka Classy, completes bank account transactions using Plaid, which is the easiest and fastest way for donors to sign into their financial account to withdraw their donation.
Plaid allows you to securely connect to your bank account to transfer your one-time or recurring donation. Your bank account information is not saved by Plaid.
If you sign up for recurring gifts, it will be securely used by our fundraising platform to withdraw donations on your recurring gift schedule.

Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account managed by a sponsoring organization.
You can receive an immediate tax deduction when you contribute cash, stocks, or other assets to a donor-advised fund.
You can make annual gifts to the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation from your fund whenever you wish, and designate any remaining funds as a legacy gift.

Donations using your individual retirement account (IRA) can be used to make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) or to fulfill your required minimum distribution (RMD).
Qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) are an increasingly popular way for donors 70½ or older to support the mission of the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation.
You can make up to $108,000 in tax-free charitable distributions annually, lowering your taxable income, and, if you’re age 73 or older, helping you to meet your minimum distribution requirement (RMD).
To initiate a qualified charitable distribution (QCD), your IRA trustee will need the following information:

Leaving a Legacy with your Retirement Fund or IRA
If you own a retirement plan such as an IRA, 401K, or 403B, you can leave a lasting legacy and maximize your charitable impact with significant tax savings for your heirs.
Naming Lambda Chi Alpha as a beneficiary is an easy way to make a future gift. There is no cost to make this designation and it can easily be changed at any time. Passing this gift to charity is 100% tax free.
Simply fill out a beneficiary designation form provided by your retirement account holder to name the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation as your beneficiary. You may choose to designate either a percentage or the entirety of your retirement plan.
Donating appreciated securities, including stocks or bonds, is an easy and tax-effective way for you to make a gift.
Giving appreciated assets can help you avoid paying capital gains taxes, and can give you an income tax deduction for the full value of the gift, if you’ve had the assets for more than one year.

Memorial and honorary gifts are an appropriate way to recognize someone’s life and accomplishments by making a donation in their honor or memory.
Use our online giving form to send a personal message to your intended honoree and/or their family members.
For those who wish to honor the name of a family or an individual in perpetuity with a project or program of enduring worth, including leadership funds and scholarships, the Educational Foundation can help you explore your options.

You have supported your family and charities during your lifetime. A will or trust is a purposeful way for you to continue your tradition of lifetime giving.
Designating the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation as a beneficiary in your will or trust is a simple way to make a future gift. In addition, you can change or revoke this type of gift if your situation changes.
How does it work?
Through a formal legal document, you can provide for family and friends, and designate a gift of a specific dollar amount or percentage of your estate to Lambda Chi.
