Investing in Our Brotherhood

The Lambda Chi Foundation is the primary investing partner of Lambda Chi Alpha.

But we are far more than a fraternal foundation. We are a champion of men, a force for good, and a voice of progress in our Fraternity and beyond.

The Foundation grants $2 million annually in scholarships, fellowships, and educational grants to help Brothers discover and live their values and purpose.

Mission

The Lambda Chi Foundation proves that fraternity, done right, is one of the most transformative forces for developing men with purpose.

Vision

No young man should have to face the world alone.

Our Founding

What can one gift spark?

After writing Lambda Chi Alpha’s ritual, Dr. John E. “Jack” Mason Jr., Pennsylvania 1913, went on to serve as an educator in his home state until his passing in 1946.

In his will, Brother Mason left a gift to Lambda Chi Alpha worth $2,500 to benefit current and future Brothers of the Fraternity.

The 1948 General Assembly passed a resolution that established a trust known then as the John E. Mason Foundation that was to be operated exclusively for beneficent, charitable, literary, and educational purposes.

In 1968, the trust became the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation, and from its humble start, has grown to assets of more than $16 million.

Lambda Chi Alpha is the only international social fraternal organization with an affiliated non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable foundation that was directly established by one of its most important founding members. Our legacy is rooted in our history.
