Asset Management
What is Asset Management?
We help Chapters manage and grow their funds with the infrastructure, oversight, and support needed for long-term success. The Foundation currently has over $32 million in restricted assets under management.
Endowed Assets can be established by both Chapters or individual donors, restricted to individualized Chapters and/or programs. An endowment is a restricted account that provides long-term financial support while preserving the principal amount, issuing grants for leadership, scholarships, and housing.

Steps to Get Started
1. Identify local Alumni support
Funds are required to have an Alumni primary sponsor and point of contact. These Alumni volunteers ensure the money raised is used in the best interest of the Chapter and are responsible for maintaining contact with the Foundation.
2. Determine the Chapter’s funding needs
The Foundation administers three types of funds (see Types of Grants & Funds below). We recommend discussions between Alumni, undergraduates, Advisors, and overstake holders to determine which type of fund serves the Chapter’s needs.
3. Identify lead donors
Chapter support funds require a minimum funding amount that must be met within five years of establishing the fund. We recommend the Chapter identify potential supports and share your goals for opening this fund.
4. Contact the Foundation and execute a fund agreement
After identifying your goals, the type of fund, and lead donors, now is the time to reach out to the Foundation. Our team will create the fund agreement and walk you through all details related to generating a new fund.
5. Broader fundraising efforts
The Foundation can assist you in creating a plan to reach other Alumni, build a dedicated giving page to solicit donations, and provide other best practices for fundraising.

Epsilon-Chi Mississippi Gulf Coast Scholarship
For Carter Allen, staying involved with Lambda Chi Alpha after graduation was personal. As a member of the Epsilon-Chi Chapter at Mississippi State, he saw firsthand the challenges Chapters can face when Alumni engagement fades over time. Rather than letting that cycle continue, Carter wanted to help change the narrative by staying connected himself and encouraging other Brothers to do the same.
That commitment led him to establish the Epsilon-Chi Mississippi Gulf Coast Scholarship through the Lambda Chi Foundation, which supports a semesterly educational scholarship for a qualifying Brother of his Chapter. His goal is to help future Brothers know they are supported not only by the active Chapter, but by Alumni who continue to stand behind them long after graduation.
“If I can financially be the reason one Brother joins or stays throughout all four years, then it is worth it to me,” Carter shared. “Fraternity life is not inexpensive, but what you get out of it is invaluable.”
By investing in future Brothers, Carter is helping strengthen the culture of support and lifelong Brotherhood that defines Lambda Chi Alpha.
