Programs that Foster Belonging, Growth, and Skills Development
Fostering Growth & Belonging
When they join Lambda Chi Alpha, our Brothers gain access to opportunities for personal development that aren’t found elsewhere on campus. Donors to the Educational Foundation invest in programs that foster belonging, growth, and skills development, informed by research to benefit our Members and our peers.

Lamba Chi Academy
Lambda Chi Academy is our home for learning, offering a hybrid educational environment through asynchronous learning tracks, Chapter-led trainings, and live online sessions led by Alumni and Training Specialists.
Designed to reward learning, Chapters compete for recognition on the Academy Leaderboard, earning points across three divisions for significant prizes that benefit the Chapter.
Connect and Belong
From Association to Initiation and beyond, Members are provided with a home away from home. Learning is centered on social and experiential activity to maximize the Membership experience.
Learn to Lead
Lambda Chi Alpha is synonymous with leadership. From core to elective modules, Members will learn what it takes to be an effective leader within the Fraternity, on their campus, and in their local communities
Build a Legacy
Membership within Lambda Chi Alpha doesn’t stop at graduation. Members will learn what lifelong Membership entails and will begin building their legacy as an Ideal Man before graduation.

Ideal Man
Ideal Man is a four-year personal and professional skill-building program to maximize the Lambda Chi Alpha membership experience. Focused on developing Brotherhood, competence, and character, its mission is to prepare members for success during and after college.
Ideal Man 1, Developing Myself
Launched in September 2023, the onboarding program sets the foundation for what it means to be a Brother of Lambda Chi Alpha. A blend of asynchronous content and group exercises led by the High Kappa, Associate Members learn the rights, responsibilities, and expectations of membership; in addition to the seven core values, their practical application, and habits pertaining to mental health.
Ideal Man 2, Developing My Relationships
Launched in January 2024, the program focuses on increasing self-awareness. With a bedrock in understanding personal interactions, core topics include how to be a good friend and brother (and the difference between the two), how to work in teams, and how to play a full role in the Chapter. Like Ideal Man 1, group exercises, led by the High Beta, are interspersed with asynchronous content.

Fraternities Matter Research
As a member of the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC), Lambda Chi Alpha is invested in the health and well-being of all affiliated fraternal organizations and their members.
Thanks to efforts led by the NIC to research and measure the fraternal experience across many different organizations and generations, the evidence is clear: Fraternities Matter.
According to their findings, fraternities have the power and unique ability to foster positive mental health, serve as success accelerators for students, and engender tremendous loyalty and connection among alumni to support their alma mater.

Timothy J. Piazza Center Partnership
Established in January 2019 at Penn State, the Piazza Center is a multidisciplinary research facility dedicated to addressing issues within the Greek-letter community. It honors Timothy Piazza, a sophomore who tragically lost his life due to hazing.
The Piazza Center research endowment provides necessary funding for applied research to implement best practices for safer chapters and campus communities. The Piazza Center’s mission is to provide practitioners, campuses, and headquarters with the evidence needed to enact significant change. The center works closely with Lambda Chi Alpha to enhance student learning.
Current projects include:
- The early warning signs of hazing
- The effectiveness of intervention and prevention strategies for substance misuse and hazing
- Increasing health and wellness
- Exploring campus student organization and fraternity and sorority accountability and conduct models

Your Support is Essential
Alumni support is essential to ensuring that Lambda Chi Alpha remains a premier fraternity experience.
As the Foundation engages with both new and faithful donors and the Brothers benefitting from their support, we are learning more about the needs of young men today and the opportunity to provide them with purpose and connection through our Brotherhood.
