Ed Wynne retired from executive roles in Telecommunications with GTE Corporation, AT&T Network Systems and Lucent Technologies. His international sales and management expertise led him to be Managing Director in Telecom for teams in South America, the Caribbean and Mexico.
Ed received his BA in Political Science and Spanish from Florida State University and his MLA focused on international studies from Southern Methodist University. Ed held High Zeta leadership positions at his Zeta Rho chapter before becoming a Chapter Consultant at ΛΧΑ Headquarters. Ed has advanced studies from the University of Valencia (Spain), Tec de Monterrey (Mexico), the University of Athens (Greece) and the University of Costa Rica (San Jose).
Following his career in international business, Ed served in the U.S. Department of State as a Diplomatic Housing Director and over his career has lived in 7 countries. Currently, Ed and his spouse John Payne split their time between Dallas, Texas, and Athens, Greece. Ed has served church roles at a 1200+ member church as Treasurer, Board of Trustees member and Endowment Committee representative. Presently, Ed serves on the Alumni Advisory Board of the Iota Pi chapter at Texas Christian University. He loves distance swimming, biking, snow skiing, Lambda Chi and more.
